The Brennan-Lucey 3rd Annual Recital PARADE!

Saturday June 20th 2020

Joseph A. Foran High School

80 Foran Rd

Milford, CT 06460

We ask that the dancers arrive at 11:30am sharp for a dress rehearsal immediately before the performance. *Please pack your dancer a snack or packed lunch so they can replenish their energy between the dress run and the show!*

Parents of our tiny tots can of course stay throughout the dress run, but we recommend dropping your children off if you can so the show can be a surprise for the audience.

The doors to the venue will open at 1:30pm and seating will be general admission.

The Rehearsal

The extra rehearsal will be held immediately before the performance on June 22nd starting at 12 noon sharp! Please pack your dancer a lunch or snack that they can eat between the dress run and the show! Also note that while we encourage this to be a 'drop and run' scenario we appreciate that some of the younger dancers, especially from our Intro to Irish Dance class, may be more more comfortable if Mom or Dad stayed with them.

We will be working on our recital pieces for a small portion of each class in the weeks leading up to the recital so there will be no other extra practices needed! Please be aware that should your child choose not to participate in the recital, they will still be learning the routine in class with the other dancers, however, when it gets closer to the date we may work in two equally-as-fun groups during class so that those in the recital can focus on the routine as it will be performed on the day. Please let us know by April 1st if your child will or will not be participating in the recital so we can choreograph each classes routine accordingly.

We do HIGHLY ENCOURAGE all students to participate in the recital! Not only will it be a great opportunity to work on stage presence, confidence, teamwork and our choreography, but it will be a lot of fun and a great way to share and perfect what we have been working on all year with our friends and family!

Even if your child just joined the Brennan-Lucey Irish Dance Academy within the month of March or April your child will be ready for the recital! And if your child joined within the month of May or June please speak to us in person or via email about the possibility of your dancer participating in the recital. They will most likely be able to participate!

This is a great opportunity for your dancer to practice performing on a stage in front of an audience full of loved ones so please invite all of the grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles, and family friends that you would like! Recitals are a great way to celebrate your dancers achievements and commitment to dance throughout the year, and what better way than to celebrate with friends and family!
